Thanks to American scientists we are now able to safely detect any genetic abnormalities in fetuses starting at 18 weeks.  The new technique is totally safe for fetuses as long as they have genes for blue eyes, blond hair and superior height -and are preferably male.

The new technique also puts an end to the outrage Australian scholars had caused back in March when they made the case for killing a defective 3 year old kid because she is not really a person yet (see this article for reference).

With this early detection tool, innocent Down Baby Timmy would not have to be put to sleep like Ole Yeller. He would just fade away as a grainy echo-graphy.
